Nifty regained 5900 level

The benchmark Nifty started the week with positive bias and regained the 5900 level. There is a volatility in the index move and the markets are hovering.

In the opening move, the Sensex was trading at 19669 up 74 points and the Nifty was at 5909 up 24 points. The CNX Midcap went up 45 points at 9207.

Among the index, HDFC, Reliance Communications, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Suzlon Energy, Jaiprakash Associates, HUL, Reliance Capital, Tata Steel, ITC, Infosys, PNB, Tata Steel and ONGC were on buyers' radar. Sterlite Industries, Uniech and Idea Cellular were down.

Midcap & Smallcap space:

Amtek India rose 5%, as its board allotted 54.75 lakh equity shares at Rs 120.12/- per share upon the conversion of FCCB's of USD 14.98 million.

Delta Corp was up 5%, as board meeting is scheduled today to consider preferential allotment.

Advani Hotels rallied 6%, as there were rumors that Delta Corp may buy majority stake/

Essar Shipping was up 2% as it witnessed multiple block deals on Friday.

Orchid Chemical rose 4% and Ispat was up 3%. KRBL went up 4.6% and Shree Renuka Sugar up 1%.

Digjam shot up up 4%. Texmaco, Shree Ashtavinayak and Aegis Logistics were up 2%. However, Archies was down 2%.
