Sensex is maintaining it's gain

The Sensex is maintaining it's gain in the afternoon trade also. Buying was seen in banks, capital goods, realty and power stocks. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices were trading with half a percent gain each. The positive contributors to the Sensex were Infosys, ICICI Bank, L&T, SBI and HDFC Bank.

At 02:24 pm, the Sensex was up 120.87 points or 0.65% at 18787.58, and the Nifty was up 30.30 points or 0.54% at 5638.15.
